L’Eldorado c’est aussi à Mons ! Dans le cadre du projet "L'art habite la Ville"
La rue des Fripiers est riche d’une nouvelle intervention artistique. Voilà de quoi augmenter encore l’attractivité de ce quartier chaleureux du centre ville.
La fresque, figurative et haute en couleurs, représente le Mexique au sein de sa grande culture qui est dominée par la nature et le mysticisme de son environnement.
Les femmes sont très importantes dans la culture mexicaine et sont représentées avec des fleurs, pour leur délicatesse et leur beauté.
Le Quetzal (Ave) est une espèce endémique du Mexique qui est très respectée puisqu’elle est liée au dieu Quetzalcoatl, le créateur de l’humain dans les histoires de la culture aztèque.
Cette fresque représente la nature ainsi que la vie. « Je ne sais pas à quel point le monde est merveilleux ».
Cette œuvre est réalisée en co-production avec la Fondation Mons 2025 pour le projet « L’Art habite la ville », le Collectif Renart dans le cadre de la #BIAM4 et de la Biennale de Mons, Capitale culturelle, ainsi que lille3000 pour la saison « Eldorado ».
